  • You trade Hyperliquid or US stocks through Alpaca from the chart

Pick Quantower if

Is OpenMarket cheaper than Quantower?

OpenMarket and Quantower price their paid tiers differently, so this page does not name a cheaper option. OpenMarket lists Plus at $35 per month billed monthly or $29 per month billed annually ($348 per year) on its Plus page, and the same USD prices came back for guest sessions from 10 countries; checkout was not tested. Quantower lists its All-in-One licence at 70 per month, shown without a currency symbol, and states that purchases are not renewed automatically. Both have a free tier: OpenMarket has a Free plan, and Quantower has a limited free version that needs no registration and has no time limit. Quantower also offers a 7-day All-in-One trial after account registration. Market data costs extra on both sides: OpenMarket sells CME real-time data from $7 per month, and Quantower licences exclude third-party data fees. Figures come from the vendors' pages, last checked in October 2026.

Does Quantower run in a browser like OpenMarket?

OpenMarket runs in the browser, while Quantower is a Windows desktop terminal, so only OpenMarket works without an install. OpenMarket has no native iOS or Android app, but the platform works in a mobile browser, and the vendor recommends a desktop or tablet for complex analysis. Quantower's download page offers Windows 10 and 11 64-bit only; its FAQ says a Mac version is planned and that Mac users run it in virtual machines, with stability not guaranteed. Help docs recommend 16 GB RAM, 4 or more cores and an SSD. Scripting differs as well: OpenMarket's wrun uses TypeScript syntax (an AssemblyScript dialect) compiled to WebAssembly in the browser, and its strategies place simulated orders only. Quantower Algo uses C# with Visual Studio integration, and its API is included in the free version. Details come from the vendors' pages, last checked in October 2026.

Do OpenMarket and Quantower have footprint charts and heatmaps?

OpenMarket and Quantower both offer footprint charts and order-book heatmaps, packaged differently. OpenMarket lists order-book heatmaps, footprints, CVD and liquidation maps on any market; heatmap depth is Normal on Free and Maximum on Plus, and Plus adds 1-second candles. Quantower's Cluster chart is its footprint chart, with Single, Double or Imbalance views, and sits in the Volume Analysis package that Multi-Asset licences include. Its DOM Surface heatmap shows order-book changes and is part of All-in-One only, while the free version includes a DOM Trader. For testing ideas, OpenMarket's Strategy Tester produces a trade list, equity curve and stats. Quantower has a Backtest & Optimize panel that runs strategy backtests manually or through optimization algorithms, with Market Replay as a separate panel. Which package holds a given tool matters for cost, so check the licence table before buying. Last checked in October 2026 on the vendors' own pages.

Quantower covers CFD, futures, options, stocks and crypto through connected brokers and feeds, and includes no market data of its own: the default dxFeed Simulated connection gives a limited set of symbols with a 24-hour delay. Its futures connections include CQG, Rithmic, Certigo and CTS. On options, OpenMarket shows crypto and CME options from 7 venues in one chain with implied volatility and skew, and Quantower lists option chains, Greeks and option strategies. Can you trade from the chart in OpenMarket and Quantower?

OpenMarket and Quantower both let users trade from the chart, through different routes. OpenMarket offers Wallet Execution for Hyperliquid perpetuals, using a wallet the user controls, and Brokerage Execution for US-listed stocks and ETFs through an account at Alpaca Securities LLC. Orders go from the browser straight to the venue, and OpenMarket says it does not route, hold or delay them. Wallet Execution is not available to Restricted Persons, a group that includes US residents, while that rule does not apply to Brokerage Execution. Quantower claims 60+ connections to brokers, crypto exchanges, data feeds and prop-trading firms, including Binance, Bybit, OKX, Hyperliquid and Deribit, and can connect to several data providers at once. Its Terms say orders may be routed to third-party systems and Quantower is not responsible for their errors. Last checked in October 2026.
